Do you have a Jailbroken iPhone/iPad? If so, is there any specific reason for jailbreaking it? For me, I jailbroke my iPhone 3G for the 3G Unrestrictor. I can't live without it. Watching Pixel-ely YouTube Video bugs me, so it is great to have it handy. Also SBSettings. I love having access to things like Wi-Fi and Brightness by just Sliding my finger across the top bar. What are you favorite JailBroken apps?

My iPhone 3GS is jailbroken. I made the decision considering that I wanted to tether, as well as the 3G unrestrictor application that you mentioned in order to utilize what should have been allowed anyway.

Just gives you more control, in my opinion. My favorite jailbroken app is probably MyWi, for tethering.

I had my iPad Jailbroken for a very short period of time, but in the end felt horrible about the decision (developers have families to feed too). And was also seeing a lot of lag and problems within my device. I do not recommend you jailbreak any device. If you do, GOOD LUCK!

I do not have my iPod touch jailbroken. Once I upgrade to a newer iPod touch (I have the first gen) I might jailbreak the 1st gen.

iPhone, but when they come out with iPhone OS 4.0 for the public I am going to switch to that and not jailbreak it because there is really no big point in doing so.

I recently rejailbroke my iPod, after having it unjailbroken for a while. I have a 1g iPod Touch, and I jailbroke it just for backgrounder. Because Apple no longer supports the first generation iPod Touches, I have to rely on jailbreaking to provide new features. But my favorite part of it is the ability to dual boot OS's. I am currently dual booting the iPhone OS, and Android on my iPod. It's very easy to set up, and is worth it. People have already installed Android 2.2 onto it, which hasn't even been released on most of the current android phones.

Jailbreaking Apple products are HIGHLY ILLEGAL and should really not be discussed here because you can have legal action brought against you.

While it's not illegal, it is against Apple's EULA though.

This topic reminds Me of the M$ XP Eula, & how each User interperted that Document differently. Eitherway I'm sure Apples Lawyers would have a retort to that last post. Truth is, We bought a product with an OS on it, but We didn't buy or own thee OS. Just the "rite to use thee OS" & then only, on the device that it came with!   Another thing: Thee OS isn't Open Scource. And don't forget that We all agreed "Not to Decompile or Alter thee OS,  Pure & Simple"  (You do remember That ?).

PS:  This is just My interpretation/opinion, so take it lite OK?

It was just said to be totally legal all it really does is void your warranty.
