If it open's at 7am, what time should I be there to avoid the worst of the lines? I suppose I should clarify somewhat, my Apple Store is in the South Park Mall in Charlotte, NC (doubt that means much to you, but there it is if you know about it).

I never really go to that mall, since it's pretty... expensive, in a "rich" area and all that. So I don't know how crowded it is generally or on iPhone launch days.

I'm guessing that you should get there a couple of hours early. Maybe 5-6. The lines are going to be ridiculous.

Well, it depends on your location. Like a small city that has a apple store, I bet just even 15 minutes is fine. For a bigger city, it can go to an hour or more.

Do they have Apple stores in rural areas?

Well, there is a apple store in a suburban area where it mainly contain family homes and a mall

In most apple stores there are separate lines for those who reserved but I'd still get there 1-2 hours early depending on how many people reserved theirs.

I would have had it sent to my house cause there's free shipping for orders over $50

I'd intended to pre-order it, but my credit is too new for them to let me get away with it. I have to put down a $100 downpayment, so the preorder was out.
