I have the iPhone 3GS, and I was thinking of getting the new iPad. The only thing is that I do not know if it was worth my time to get it due to the fact that I already own the iPhone. Please let me know what you think -- should get the iPad or just stick with what I already have? |

Hard to say. It's fun to play with. And out of full honesty, I find mine extremely functional as a replacement to a horrible netbook. Truth is you just can't walk around and use a netbook that well... it's slow and hard to use. The iPad does a great job of filling this gap. Otherwise, I agree it might be a waste if not used to a great degree in this way. |

Wait till the next iteration because there might be a new one coming out in september when they release the iPad version of iOS 4 and the iPad is good at what it does but I could be a lot better and I think Apple might pull an Apple and release something like they did with iPhone 4g and if they don't the very least it will have is more at least a gig of ram, more memory, a higher clocked A4 chip, and maybe a camera. |

The iPad is definately worth the cost. I use it more than my desktop. |

I also own a 3G When I decided to buy an iPad. I don't regret at all. since you own an iPhone you know that apple touch interface is quite good. The iPad touch experience is way better than the iPhone. You might also consider waiting for the 2nd gen iPad. the one I have defintely have some problems. Apps crash, found a few glitches which also found one the iPhone. It's definitely worth the price. You should test it out in an apple store. I actually went to England to test it, because here in Norway there aren't any official apple stores. |

I also have the iPhone 3G[s], and advise saving your money. The iPad is NOT a laptop replacement. It's closer to a bigger iPod Touch. I own an iPad as payment for a project, but otherwise I would've never bought it. If you really want an iPad type device, there's other "Tablets" that have been launched with more following.
