Was just wondering how do I stop it because my aunt has to use my computer while we are on a trip and she is so omish we can't just tell her to click cancel. |

HP Printers are bad about this but it could be something else. Go to Start and click Run. Them type in Msconfig and go to the Startup tab and try disabling all of the startup items. Reboot. When Xp comes back up, the error should be gone. Then, just go through the startup items again and narrow down which one is causing the problem. Some people will tell you to re-enable them 1 item at a time but I like to do about 5 items before I reboot. This isn't a complete solution to the problem but it will permanently disable the installer for that particular item from showing up. |

Maybe you have put an installer or a shortcut to one in the Startup folder. |

I've had this problem before too. It usually means that something hasn't finished installing properly or isn't configured correctly. I wittled it down to my wireless adapter driver. See if there's anything you've added or anything that could have changed recently, and run the repair option in it's settings (if it has one) or reinstall it. |
