Starbucks is now offering unencrypted free wifi so it would be quiet easy to exploit.

Should https like google's new beta page be a default across the Internet? I know ssl certificates are expensive but it would help detear people snooping in say.. starbucks (link)

Because ya never knows who's snooping with a tool sets like backtrack and kismit.
