Looking for high quality headphones. Dr. Dre or Bose headphones? |
|
I've never used any Bose headphones. I can, however, HIGHLY recommend the Beats by Dr. Dre. Chris gave me his when I was visiting a few months ago. They are PHENOMENAL. The sound quality is crystal-clear, unlike any headphones I've ever used. They're comfy as heck... I wear them for hours at a time, due to listening to music as I work. They don't hurt my head/ears. AND... they REALLY block out other background noise. That is priceless to me. I'd never get anything done if I could hear everything the kids are doing in the house. ;) |

Bose hands down, Dr. Dre look nice but i would stick with the longer running line of bose. Both have there upsides and their downsides. Make sure you look for wha is known as neodymium magnets as they will help with your listening pleasure. Also if money is tight look at sony headphones I got some in duty free and have enjoyed using them. |

I can guarantee you that everything you buy from Bose will be top of the line at any price point. Those guys take sound quality really seriously. Dr dre headphones are more about style and fashion rather than sound. I have heard Dr. dre's and the only good thing about there sound is bass, but sometimes there is so much bass it drowns the sound. I would surely recommend Bose. |

I have played with both. I'm currently in a class called Digital Audio for college and my professor said that if anyone walked in with Dr. Dre headphone he would kick them out. Bose are really nice. I would go with them. They feel good on your head too. -Brandon Denison. |

Beats are nice, but they are made by Monster Cable - hence overexpensive. Tried them about 2 years ago when the reps were in our store. Bose are also kind of pushing for Sony margins on their stuff the last while, so they're a bit of a rip. That's the problem with consumer brands, Bose will rip you off every chance they get, even though the products are quite good. I looked around for the best I could get when I built my home studio and picked up a Beyerdynamic DT990 headset for €168. They do need a strong amp so iPods really don't drive them all that well, but the comfort and quality far surpasses regular consumer brands. Other than that, if it's for walking and stuff I'd recommend Sennheiser MX95 headphones (€45). Small but possibly the best of the in-ear headphones for noise cancellation, and great volume too. Both these models are flawless and together would probably cost less than a set of Bose or Monster headphones. The best advice I can give as a long time home theatre sales guy / almost-was musician is this: Buy from brands that manufacture studio equipment such as mics, etc. Their stuff is way cheaper than the big brands, and far more robust. |

I have the exclusive White Dr. Dre's and they are absolutely AMAZING. I would not take any other headphones and I know that the price tag can be at least 300 but they are truly the best headphones in the world. No exception. |

I have Bose QC15s. Ok, so at $300 they are expensive, but I really enjoy the immersive sound quality that they offer. |

Bose is amazing, they are comfortable and the way the speakers are implemented into the headphones are amazing. Anyone can make great speakers, but the way Bose designs their headphones in conjunction with their headphones is amazing. |
