As far as I know most graphics cards come with a phyics processor included.

Most new Nvidia cards come with PhysX, an onboard PPU. AMD/ATI has nothing of the sort.

I think he wants to run an ATI card with an Nvidia card for Physx.

he could run ATI hybrid physics, but i think now the ATI cards do have a physix processing.

My friend had purchased as PhysX card and said it made no difference. Most nVidia cards (practically all the new ones) have PhysX built in.

The only difference would be in games, and the games that support PPUs are O-L-D. And about 8 games support PhysX, and you or I would only play 3 or 4 of them, and that is if we each had a library of a few hundred games. It's not worth it.
