iPhone 4 Buying advice

You aren't able to buy one ASAP. It's just like the iPad; they have so many orders at once, that they can't keep up with it. I'd say that you should wait a week to pre-order it. If you do want to have a 'perfect' iPhone, wait about a month when the demand starts to lower and they are manufactured at a higher quality.

ASAP = as soon as POSSIBLE :P so yes i can get one ASAP :D

But back on track im not going to get it via apple but a carrier instead.

So what should i do ? :-(

The only US carrier that sells them is Apple, you can only use the iPhone on AT&T and T-Mobile in the US. To use on T-Mobile, you will have to Jailbreak and unlock it, as AT&T doesn't offer factory unlocks. If you're thinking of using it on Sprint or Verizon, then sorry, never gonna happen.

Not predictably. I've seen the bars drop and go back a few times when I intentionally cover the 'problem areas' but I've seen the same when I'm doing nothing with the phone (same with wifi, even on the iPhone 3G.) I'm not saying it's not something Apple couldn't improve, but I am saying it's making zero difference in my usage and enjoyment of the phone. No issues talking, sending SMS and photos and doing FaceTime calls, etc. No yellowed screen either, and I received my iPhone from FedEx at 8:17 AM on the 23rd here in San Antonio, TX.

I have the 32GB model, by the way.

I, would say get one now. You might as well enjoy it for the year it will be out. Apple will not re-release their phone. Didn't you hear their "formal" statement yesterday saying that you "Should hold the phone in a different way, or buy one of our Bumpers for $30"
