I've been online for 10 years now and have always used a windows pc. It's been a bumpy 10 years but i manages to survive. I want to make the leap to a Mac but my options are limited. I'm on a budget so the Mac Mini seems like a good option. The problem i have with the mini is that it has a core 2 duo. In my opinion that chip is a bit dated. With quad cores and i5 i7 available i simply want more muscle in my computer. I would like a quad core in my mac, but i have to spend at least $2k. Or an i5 i7 that's available in the mac book pro's would be nice. Still too expensive and all i want is a desktop. I'm willing to spend over a $1k even $1500. I just wish apple would build something in between a Mac Mini and a Mac Pro. Am i asking for too much? Or should Apple add another member the Mac Family? |

I think that the Core 2 Duo is still a very great option. I'm using the previous generation iMac 20" and it works great. I would like the i7, but the Core 2 Duo is sufficient. The Mac Mini is more powerful than most of the computers out there as it is now. |
