What is Tumblr supposed to be?

Tumblr is designed to be a simple way to blog. IE you can choose your post type, and just blog about whatever you want without regard to any technical nature of things, etc. You can also follow people (whose posts will appear on your Dashboard) as well as Like individual posts.
