Hello everyone! I am in the market for buying a new full HD 1080p camera, but i am trying to figure out what the best camera for the lowest price would be. Do you no any good full HD video cameras for a fairly reasonable price (try to keep it under 1000 canadian dollars but will go over a little if necessary). It can also be a SLR camera! But any help will really help me out guys!

-Thanks A Lot!

I'm a Nikon user so I can only answer for one brand.

Although you did ask for 1080p, I find that 720p is fine as well, it really depends on the camera itself and not the pixel count. As a photographer I can say that even a 6 megapixel DSLR can take far better pictures than a 14.2 megapixel digicam. So anyway here's list on Nikon DSLRs with D-Movie capability

D5000 - 1,280 x 720, although the microphone is utter CRAP (and no, there is no port for an external microphone) the screen swivels giving you the comfort of shooting at different angles. Lowest price online, 530USD full kit

D90- 1,280 x 720, microphone a little better than the D5000, but still not that good, 899USD full kit (best deal you can find out there considering it couples with one of the best lenses)

Those two are the ones that play around your budget, the rest are WAY TOO EXPENSIVE, like over 2K USD expensive
