a Proxy basicly acts as a shield, you go to a proxy server, you type in a address. the website sees the proxy as being based in the UK or China or US where ever the server is physically based, the proxy then forwords the information on the page you are trying to access to you.

http://www.hidemyass.com/ is a fairly well known one, you simply type the address of the site your looking for.

also some are free they typicly have ads and some you have to pay for. the ones you pay for are often better but they should be
