Do you think Microsoft can make a better OS than Windows 7?

I don't think that they can make Windows 7 feel like Vista, but I know that they can make a better OS. They can always add new features, and there are always improvements to be made.

Anything can be made better over time. Users change, their expectations of how a computer should work change, it's all dynamic. What was relevant when XP was being introduced into the market, for example, is completely different than how things are today.

I haven't been a fan of the last few Windows editions, but 7 seems to be done right pretty much.

They're already making a Windows 7, but there is very little public information about it.

Give it time. When the technology and power is needed, you'll see a better OS come out.

didnt they say that with windows XP? oh yeah, vista came out...

Well. Theres rumored Windows 2013. But, in my opinion, I still have Windows Vista™, but I've used Windows 7, and I prefer Windows 7.

It will be a challenge to make an OS better than 7. But I have no doubt in my mind that they will do it :)

I think that they can make a better operating system just like Apple (or any other company for that matter) can make a better operating system, but the only thing that is prohibiting the progress is the progression of the hardware. As time progresses, operating systems will only get better (unless you have the strange occurrence of Vista). There is no limit to how well a company can make an operating system. The only thing that holds developers back is the time it takes to do something like that, and how advanced the hardware is that is available.

I think the biggest problem with operating systems is that there are so many little annoyances that it can get unenjoyable really fast.
