Hey. So I recently installed both Google Chrome and Opera on my computer. They are both great browsers but i'm having a hard time picking which one to make my default browser. I use Opera on my iPhone and its great but I also like Chrome. I can't decide. Which do you guys prefer and why?

Thanks.

Hey, I suggest you make Opera as your default browser.

Thanks.

I personally love Google Chrome. I find it to be the fastest and most efficient browser I've used.

When I'm on Linux, I prefer Opera as my default browser. On any other platform, Opera is good, but I don't think that it is the best. If you like the visuals on the tabs and the other things like the Speed Dial (which is very similar to Safari's Top Sites page), than Opera is a very good choice. One great feature about Opera is the Turbo Boost. Turbo is the feature that makes me like using Opera when I'm traveling.

You also need a fast PC spec in advance.

Google Chrome...big time. Opera seems a little too "ugly" for me.

I like chrome better than opera. I think I better question would be Google Chrome 6 VS. Safari 5.

Opera is amazing, people don't realize how efficient it is though.

This really depends on what you want.

Google chrome is the best for simply browsing. It's probably faster to load up.

But Opera has so much else crammed into it, like inbuilt e-mail and then opera unite which allows you to share files, music, documents, opera turbo for when your net decides to go slow and inbuilt p2p for downloading your legal torrents.

But it's all apples and oranges at the end of the day, they feel about the same browsing and watching video.

I generally go for opera but I dip between opera, firefox and chromium depending on what computer I happen to be at. It's more a personal choice question.

I have even been testing other browsers such as Ephiphany on linux which works.
