Paying $10 per month for the ability to watch commercials! I wonder how many people will buy into this laughable "service." For $10 a month, I would expect it to be commercial free.

What are your thoughts on the new Hulu Plus service?

Why the hell would they make you pay for ads? Aren't the ads supposed to be the ones generating the revenue?

Ads are fine they are shorter than t.v ads anyway. $10 is very appealing and watching any episode from the whole season is great. I think even people who download (legal or nonlegal) won't mind 10 because it gives them instant gratification. iTunes, and the Amazon Marketplace should feel their t.v content extremely threatened by this.

Netflix has some TV shows, as well as a wide selection of movies, all ad-free!

Hulu is going about this "Plus" thing all wrong.

It's too much money per month. If it superseded cable then it would be tolerable, but not in addition to.

I think that by adding ads on the Plus videos, is just being greedy for $$$. However, the $10 price is VERY reasonable and I will definitely consider this. But, they should add more features, beyond the obviously removal of ads in order for me to buy.

Personally I don't like that they are charging for it. Hulu should just cut their losses. Offer the service free and add in commercials.

Not worth the money now if they put up BBC shows when they were aired then maybe..

You're not paying to remove the ads, you're paying for other features. If it offered nothing additional, then I would expect the ads to be removed, but you are indeed getting other features, so being ad supported isn't unreasonable. Plus, for those who debate about paying for it AND getting ads... Magazines, television service, DVDs, movies, etc. You can buy all of those and they still include advertisements.

I don't think it's unreasonable at all.

You can choose not to read the ads in magazines, and you can leave the room to use the bathroom or w/e for TV ads. You have to watch the hulu ads though, they're too short to use the bathroom, and they can't be skipped over like most DVDs.

Have to agree with the BBC stuff...as well as other shows from Australia & other English speaking countries as well. If this were to happen...I would pay $20 a month...even with the commercials. As for the current setup...Hulu made a hefty profit of millions. Guess Murdoch isn't happy that it's not in the billions or even trillions.
