I've recently purchased a Creative Vado HD (1st gen) relatively cheaply from Amazon. I just want to check a couple of things to make sure I haven't got a defective unit. Hopefully they'll be someone else in this community that owns one! First of all, the speaker seems to "pop" just after (and sometimes before) the little startup and shutdown jingle is played, and also after and before any video. Is the speaker potentially faulty - or is this just the nature of the device (ie. is it just because Creative have used a cheap speaker)? Also, the buttons don't seem to be as responsive as I expected. If I press them lightly they do "click", but often the device doesn't respond to the click (as if it didn't happen). I have to click slightly more firmly (not ridiculously hard, but hard enough to notice that I'm consciously having to do it) to get the device to respond. Again, is this a bad unit, or is it just the way the 1st gen Creative Vado HD is? Thanks |
