It doesn't matter what OS you are using OS X, Linux, Windows or hell even the mobile OS. Just tell me what you want

I think the OS that will win (and I am seing a better job of it in Mac, and that is why I use one, and if I think Windows ever becomes better I could switch back) is what ever can implement one's life right into the OS. Many say OSX is a way of life, and it kinda is. Your photos are right there in iPhoto, and address book, contacts and email (which can synch among multiple platforms, ex. I use gmail, and no mater where I got Mac, iPhone, the web it's all connected, of course this is on Windows but I feel it is better implemented on OSX). Also the power features do really matter. If you work for a company that uses operating system a, and you know it well, you may be more inclined to do it at home (again Mac includes things like Automator, which is amazing once you learn how to use it to your advantage). So the OS that I want is that can implement things I do in my life, in an easy way, but can also give me the power features cause I am a geek and can use them to my advantage Also, I stress the easy part so that help family isn't so difficult (luckily they are switching one by one).

I've gotten most of my family to switch, now all that's left is my mom (this could take a while, she accept a cell phone, even as a present, but I've showed her Ubuntu, and she loved how everything was just right there).

It's unfortunate that MacOSX passed up on the opportunity to implement ZFS early on. It's also unfortunate that BSD jails weren't considered. Unless those are implemented, I think FreeBSD will win the war once it has a GUI.

I would like to see "Wobbly Windows" in all major operating systems (please switch from Linux to Mac). I think that it can add more of a functionality if you use it in conjunction with Spaces. I would also like a Spaces lock so that if I am moving a window and I don't want it to move to the other screen that I wouldn't have to worry about it.

I am also very interested with what Google is doing with Chrome OS (even though I'd probably never use it outside of a virtual machine), because I think that they have the right idea. Most people use a computer just for the web browser. For me, I don't always use my web browser, but it seems like an interesting project. I don't expect Chrome OS to get anywhere until about 2012-13, because the computer market just doesn't seem ready to handle something like that.

I prefer Ubuntu for everything. I even installed it on my Mac!
