Solar powered message in a bottle ?

So wanna be philosopher was thinking the other day of something to do. I thought of a great idea. What if i made a message in a bottle. You know , the messages you put in a bottle and throw off into sea. But added an electric motor and a solar panel. That would increase significantly the chance of someone finding it. Since most messages get push back into shore. What if it had a slim chance of fighting the waves? It could drift all night and then cover some distance on sunny days. What do you think? I am going to build it. Does anyone have ideas for motor kinds and materials ?

Its not for getting lost its for reaching people that you dont know. It would be cool I think ..

0	That would be cool, but with technology nowadays, you don't have to worry about ever getting lost and need rescue (unless it's some place like the middle of the jungle which will most likely never happen to me). answered Jul 02 '10 at 03:18 catchatyou 20.7k●89●165●383
