Hey,

I'm not sure which uninstall software I should install:

Your Uninstaller or Revo Uninstaller?

What do you say?

I don't understand why you have to install something to start uninstalling.

Haha it's a program that uninstall other softwares.. I can't believe you have never

Heard about it...

When you uninstall from your windows, there are a lot of registry keys that are left on the computer

And a lot of leftovers..

And these 2 programs clean everything! and keep the registry cleaner.

But the problem is that I don't know which one is better...

Yes I do know that it leave registry files. When you remove the registry files, than you have a fragmented registry. I'd rather have a registry with a bunch of crap in it than a registry with a bunch of holes in it. Just don't download and install everything that you see, and you should be fine.

You might also want to try Total Uninstall. Install T.U. and have it analyze the program you want to uninstall (leave it open if you can). Then uninstall the program you want to uninstall using Revo (more than likely it will leave a few scraps for T.U.). Then uninstall the program with T.U. (it should find a few things remaining from Revo's attempt to uninstall). Finally, do the same with any other programs you want to uninstall and then remove T.U. with Revo. I have AShampoo Uninstaller on my system which I use to take "snapshots" of the system before and after installation of every program in case I want to fully uninstall a program at a later date and it is sometimes available greatly discounted.

it doesnt matter, each will do the job, try both. You only need to use software like this if you have difficulty uninstalling software through the normal route of control panel. personally if i have difficulty uninstalling software i will use REVO.

i've always used Revo Uninstaller, because it does a much better job, although it can be slow at times because it creates a restore point before you uninstall, but it is much more thorough then the windows one because it will scan for left over files after the program uninstaller has run, and you can then delete them and left over registry entry's.

the only down side to it that i have found, and it's probably with most 3rd party uninstallers is that if you have 2 or more things installed in the same folder, or of same name, it will give these files as left overs that you can delete, but it's never really been an issue because it's only ever happend once.

Do you use the Revo because it's good or because it's free?

Thanks to everyone! I eventually choose the Your-Uninstaller Program, because it have removed some reg files that revo didn't, such as the product key and cetera..

You see, I delete things that seem "undeleteable" using a Ubuntu Live USB. Works a treat.

I really use Windows' Integrated uninstaller... Then I clean up the unused / left files with CCleaner. Works great!
