We've seen controller-based interaction, motion based interaction, and even virtual reality and augmented reality video games. But in order for the video gaming industry to prosper even more than it currently is, new technologies are developed to meet the needs of gamers who want a refreshing new way to interact with their games. This is often achieved by introducing new peripherals, or using existing technology, combined with newer technology, to provide an innovative new take on how we interact with our video games. So my question to you all, gamers or non-gamers: What new form of interaction with video games would you like to see, or what existing form of interaction with video games do you want to grow in popularity? |

As I've been a PC gamer for a long time (unfortunately haven't had the time lately) I'm used with a keyboard and a mouse. Right now it would be too soon, but in the future I'd like to see some technology where you could be in the game and do all the moves yourself. For instance if your playing an FPS where you would like virtually run jump and shoot, but it feels like your doing it all in real life. That would be very cool - I'd love to see that. |

I think the controllers for the Xbox360 and PS3 are pretty decent as they are. This move into motion technology is a step in the wrong direction, in my opinion. Instead of making the controlling of the games' aspects easier they have made them much much slower and require a lot more effort. Ask almost any PC gamer out there and they'll tell you that the response time between the pressing of a button or clicking of a mouse and the desired result makes the world of difference. We should be trying to make it so you practically think something and you see it happen on screen simultaneously. Another thing which the Xbox360 in particular is definately moving away from is feedback. When Sony released their Sixaxis they soon brought out the DualShock3 to provide it with the feedback it was lacking. I just don't see how Kinect can work without having some other form of feedback than what you see on screen. Then again I have a similar problem with devices that only use touchscreen, but I won't get into that now. |

With a mouse and a keyboard. It's the way games are meant to be played! |

I don't mind the current technology and we don't need new ones yet. We just need better games. New game hardwares are crap if they don't make good games. But for the Computer games, I want them to be compatible with a touch screen monitor since I like to play RTS games on it. |

Maybe an online game where you play while your sleeping in your dreams. You would actually be in the game and it won't disturb your sleep. When you wake up you would have forgotten most of the things you did in the game because it was a dream game. So to sum it all up you would basically be playing using your mind. This would probably never happen. |
