What are the best game engines You have used or like? Mine are Adventure game Studio and Blender 3D...

I don't know if it's the best, but the most interesting and innovative engine I can think of is the euphoria engine. It blends ragdoll physics and gives them muscles and a nervous system with programmed behaviors to make them act like real people. Pretty much any engine that uses a physics system I really like for the realistic reactions between things.

The Blender Game Engine is a very nice engine because it is lightweight and integrates directly with Blender 3D, and accepts datablocks as well as direct Python programming.

Yeah... It comes with blender too, meaning there is no Installing anything extra... :-)

I think Havok engine (Half-Life) is also a "big name" game engine :)

Personaly I just use C++ and make raw game engines. It is not that hard to make a good one from scratch if you spend enough time on it. But engine wise, I would have to say: CRYENGINE 3!!!!!!
