My husband and I were just discussing this the other night. We have both had the iPhone 4 since the day before it was released in stores, and we're both geeks, but we're just not using the multitasking the way we expected. It doesn't seem to "gel" with us and it's difficult to tell when an app even supports it, so we both find we're just clearing out back to the home screen as usual without utilizing the multitasking consciously.

I'm eager to hear which other apps seem to work best with it because that's probably the key to utilizing the functionality and getting used to the implementation in the iOS 4 user interface.

Yes. How to tell if an app supports it. Good question since I've seen plenty of apps say they're updated for iOS4. Not sure what that implies.

They all work pretty well, but they could be improved. I've used the multitasking mostly for the cool little animation when it switches from one app to another. The screen orientation is a very useful feature. I believe that Apple truly did (almost) perfect multitasking.

One thing that I can't leave out is Folders. I love how simple it is to do it, and how smart it is at naming the app folder for me.

Thanks for the feedback. I've yet to see such an update on the iPad where I'll really appreciate it.

Apple has said iOS 4 for iPad comes out in September.
