I believe it would be beneficial to be able to flag a user who may be "breaking the rules". This would help those monitoring the voting trends. What do you think?

I submitted this as a feature request (OSQA-332) on 07/07/10. Have not gotten any feedback/responses.
I'll bump it for glory :)
Make no mistake: we're pushing the OSQA envelope, and they must love AND hate us for it. :)
@chris I did read somewhere that LG "took off" unlike any other OSQA site to date. Like I said in a previous question, you have an army behind you :)
You sent a message from the future?
I think Chris and the team have things under control though I think it would be a nice way to bring users to their attention.

There is a report feature for reporting questions, this will alert the moderators. For users, there are people on the lookout for those people.
I'm not so confident. I thought this was a great community initially. I believe I was wrong, however. It's being ruined by those who just want to take advantage. mediafuser -> karma history... looks pretty suspect. I feel as though my credibility is being attacked, and this is getting pretty old.
Unfortunely the admins/moderators (not standard users) cannot suspend/ban a user yet.....Just have to wait
I think the "Flagging users" idea is more for users who aren't playing nice or are breaking the rules, but whose misconduct isn't tied to a specific question, answer, or comment.
Precisely, you're on the mark tsilb. Thankyou.
Thankyou, kevin, tsilb and chris for your support. I'll put it to osqa features team (if that hasn't already been done) :)

Youtube has a "flagging" system and it doesn't work. I don't think it'd be wise to implement a system that already has problems to fix a problem.
Youtube is completely unrelated to this site, which is based all around a user's contributions.
We already have flagging here. It's flagging based on questions and answers. The problem here is that there is no way to flag an abusive user (such as myself) who concentrates on multiple questions/answers.
A user can downvote spam, as we've seen. There's currently no way to flag this.
A user on this site appears to be hosting malicious content on his/her own site, and linking it to this site via his/her profile. There's currently no way to flag this.
A user can also upvote spam his/her own account using multiple other accounts for his/her own benefit. Other users may spot this before moderators, so it would be most handy to be able to flag these users.
Up to 2 attachments (including images) can be used with a maximum of 524.3 kB each and 1.0 MB total.
