iPhone 4 Reception issue. Fix!

Not all the phones have this problem at all. I recently have got my iPhone 4 and just by putting 2 or more fingers over the right side of the phone (Not on the band) it can drop to 1 bar wifi and 2 or 1 bar of reception. My question to you guys is, should i replace my iPhone 4 as it seems i have a bad case of this reception issue ? And as i bought this from a carrier (Vodafone UK) Should i replace it via apple or Vodafone ? Im going to the apple store anyway on monday to pick up a few things and i was told when i bought my iPhone from Vodafone that it was their last 32Gb model in stock. Im pretty sure the apple store will have some replacements ?

Any answer would be appreciated!

Many possibilities. Firmware may be the cause.

I heard that if you remove the sim card and back sure its not touching the metal tray it could help reception, but I don't have an iPhone its just something I read
