Just to let you know, this question has already been asked in similar ways here, here and here, and the first question even uses the exact same title as this question.

iPhone is totally better. I can do a ton more with an iPhone than I can with Android. I don't see Android users driving their car with their phone!

iPhone

The iPhone is a very nice product. The iPhone 4 is no doubt the best phone out there on the market today. One great thing about Apple controlling what apps are on there is that they are more reliable, and have very little odds of crashing. The iPhone also has the best screen. We can't even see all of the pixels in it (326 DPI), because our eyes can only see about 300 DPI. In my mind, the A4 processor is the best that there is right now, because Apple's spent a long time perfecting everything about it. I also prefer the iOS on screen keyboard (preference, not really something that works with everyone). One thing that I can't leave out is that it has a 5 megapixel camera on the back that takes the best 720p video on the market for a smartphone (just compare the videos that Chris uploaded on Youtube). Another great thing about the iPhone is the front facing camera as well. Unlike Android, Apple has an app that uses the front facing camera called FaceTime.

Android

For people that like to use Android as the operating system on their phone, it's not too bad of a choice. My favorite feature is that you can talk instead of typing in the words a.k.a. speech to text. Another good thing about Android is that anyone can download the SDK for yourself and run whatever version of Android you want (it doesn't give you access to the Market Place, and it doesn't have any themes like Sense UI). One thing that developers like about Android is that they can put an app in the Market Place and you don't have to worry about going through Google first (that's why there are so manny porn apps for Android). One thing that since they have their operating system out there, anyone can use Android in their mobile devices.

The iPhone is the phone that I prefer, because as it stands right now, it is the best.

I like android because i don't have to be on AT&T's network to use it.

What's wrong with AT&T's network? I get 5 bars everywhere I go.

Lucky you, AppleHack, but your reception is not everyone's.

AT&T has very poor coverage in my area. Thankfully, Verizon has us covered instead.

I love Verizon, people in my area do have AT&T but i am always dropping calls if i call them.

iPhone is the more popular device and has more market share. That really doesnt mean much in terms of its better but its far more easier to use. They both do the same exact tasks its just that iPhone and Apple make it easier and more reliable.

I am an Apple Fan I will always be one and I would recommend iPhone.

Sorry, but that's incorrect. RIM (Blackberry) still holds the lions share of the cell market:

Android, the Iphone 4 had antenna problems, so that was a failure. And the Archos 5 internet tablet. That was android powered and I liked it way better. I have worked with friends Iphones, I have had a few problems with them.

No, nobody holds the iPhone and touches the antenna on accident. It's only on purpose. And if you touch an antenna on any phone, it will do the same thing. There was a similar problem with the iPhone 3G, and they fixed that with software. Most of the people who use an iPhone, have a case on it anyway.

The big difference is, most other phones don't have an exposed metal antenna right along the side of the device...right where you'd grip the phone...

Most cell phones have the antenna embedded behind plastic so you can't touch it. This prevents your hand from making contact and increasing its conductive length of the antenna (which would cause it to go out of band, as it does on the iPhone 4).

(Jul 11 '10 at 23:50) Leapo Leapo's gravatar image

The antenna is embedded within the brushed steel bezel. Use an iPhone 4 for a week and tell me how often you touch it by accident. And, when people are on calls, if they do touch the antenna, it just drops the bars a little bit, but not enough to drop the call.

I like the Android, because on most of those phones, THE ANTENNA ACTULLY WORKS!

Yeah the antenna works on the iPhone too, but as I'm observing here, it appears that your autocorrect isn't kicking in...oh well, that sucks, I guess you'll just continue to misspell stuff.
