I'm going to get into podcasting soon. I'll be recording tech updates with my cousin @cusinnd. I'm wondering if any of you podcast. If you do, do you have any tips? What do you use to record and upload your podcasts? |

On Windows you can use the free Audacity software do record and edit, if you want to do it pro level, you can use Adobe Audition 3 for that (i use Audition 3 for my audio projects with sound recording and mixing) On the Mac again, there is Audacity or Logic Studio which is a multi track pro editing software, or if you have the iLife pack, there is Garage Band which does the job perfectly for a beginner. For uploading your content, you can use SoundCloud.com or do a quick search on google for podcast hosting, there are lots of offers for free. |

I am a podcaster myself. I use audacity to edit audio since its free. There are only tools as well that are cheap some like sony sound forge is quite costly. Which ever software you choose to use, one method is to record short segments and piece them together so you have less chance of loosing everything if you sound editor crashed. uploading or syndicating podcasts is another thing. You can use archive.org as its free as well, they will even render your audio or video podcasts into multiple formats for you. The nice think is when their service is completed you have a direct URL to that media file that can be put in your blog, or website to make it even easier to get to your podcast. Again there are other options as well , blurbrry, blogtv, blogtalkradio, talkshoe... good luck |
