EDIT: I HAVE FOUND OUT THAT THE KEYBOARD ONLY DOES NOT WORK ON THE LOGIN, I FIXED THE ON-SCREEN KEYBOARD AND I JUST NEED TO USE THAT ONLY FOR THE LOGIN. I have installed Ubuntu 10.04 onto my VMWare Workstation 7 and it is going really well, until you have to type your password. What should I do because the keyboard does not do anything and the on-screen keyboard doesn't load up at all. I have spent about an hour getting this ready and I want it on my computer. So how do you do it. Basically the keyboard does not work. It is my laptop keyboard.
Or do I need to do something else. |

They keyboard always works for me. I've never had a problem in VirtualBox. Maybe you should give that a try. |

Sounds like a software problem with VMWare, I'd follow catchatyou's suggestion and try out virtualbox rather than VMWare. If you still have a problem, maybe you should install Ubuntu with wubi instead and use it that way. |
