I have an old dell 15inch monitor and i've been using it about 2 hours and it starting to get hot when i touch the top of it, so what kind of brand monitor would you recommend for me to get that has less heating that effects my room temp, Thank you!!

I guess monitors that are now being sold right now does not produce as much heat as monitors before. Try going into a store and test the temperature of the monitor there.

Here is a quick fact, most monitors are actually made by Samsung, just with their company logo on it.

First of all, stay away from anything along the lines of a CRT or Plasma display. They suck down power like crazy and get VERY hot.

LCD's with CCFL blacklights run reasonably cool. LCD's with LED backlights run extremely cool. Not sure I would ultimately recommend the LED backlight, as color reproduction will suffer when using one.
