My laptop's hard drive previously showed up in the "S.M.A.R.T" tab but since I've reformatted the laptop it doesn't seem to show. Any ideas? |

There are a number of possibilities, the most likely being that you're using a newer disk controller driver that Speedfan doesn't know how to read SMART data through. I have the same issue on my current motherboard, but Crystal Disk Info was still able to read SMART information. Give that a try. |

If the SMART option is activated in BIOS, then the problems is SpeedFan, i recommend you use HD Tune, they have a free version that worked all the time with lots of configurations I tried it on. |
