Where can I get the Linux source code? Are there good tutorials online on how to make your own distro?

http://git.kernel.org/ is where you can browse it, or git://git.kernel.org/dir/whateverrepository.git (as an example).

You can get the Linux kernels at kernel.org. Good luck. I've tried and it is very hard. I'd recommend modifying some other distribution before this.
