After about 10 years of having my taskbar at the bottom of the screen, I have migrated to the top of the screen and found it to be more productive and unobtrusive. Especially using Win7. Where do you prefer your taskbar to be? Top? Bottom? On either side?

I just use the good old bottom of the screen. It's what I'm most used to now and I can't see myself changing anytime soon.

Good question thought. Be interesting to see peoples thoughts.

I prefer to keep my task-bar at the bottom for standard every-day use.

Unless it is a computer I run certain things (for testing things), I may keep it at the top.

I always keep mine at the bottom with auto hide enabled for more screen space.

Left hand side or top of the screen. I hate it being on the bottom.

I use mine at the bottom of the screen, because on a laptop looking down at web pages is a pain!

The web browser should adjust to the new position of your taskbar. Therefore making it the very same, except of course your taskbar would be on the top of your display.

At the bottom. As @EionMuurphy said it's what I'm used to. I have it set to use the least amount of screen space, and also locked so it doesn't change.

Since I've been using Chrome browser, I like the way it looks with the taskbar at the top as it looks like it blends with the untabbed section of the browser(due to the aeroglass feature).

I personally have it on top or left of the screen, because of the start button , and options in programs it is more productive to have it on that position.

Do not use bold if it is not necessary. This is an example of things that do not need bold.

I used to keep it at the top but some programs kept getting in the way, so I defaulted to the bottom.

Which programs "kept getting in the way" ?

Sorry for the late reply, the emulators for games that I used, and Windows Media Center kept going to the top so the bottom seemed optimal for me.
