Hey Chris, I am going into the IT field and am wondering a few things. What should I get into? Is there good money to be made in the IT field? What do you foresee will be needed in near future for IT professionals? Allot of people tell me to make sure I get as many CISCO certifications as possible. Any Input from you or anyone on here would be greatly appreciated! Best regards, Jim

ITs make alot of money. But you should also know that the IT field is also very frustrating and stressful aswell. Usually because of time constraints and the struggle itself to solve the problem. Besides cisco certifications, a lot of practice helps too. I have been solving my own problems alot, I ALWAYS got viruses when I was a kid. Right now I don't even use anti-virus. What im trying to say is that experience can help other people solve and possibly avoid future problems. Hardware related issues is a big one as well. It helps to have experience diagnosing problems computer not posting (which is a very common problem). Checking ram, checking cpu and checking other devices.
