Ive connected the vGA cable in to the back and turned on the unit and nothing comes up on the screen? |
What kind of computer is it, where did you buy it, what OS is it running, etc. We need more information. |
Its a personal build, but i figured it out now, just didnt plug in the 12v cable to the motherboard. But nowim aving issues with the keyboard being reconized. During the boot up it works but one i get to the Vista login it doesnt work? |
If it works during boot up but not in the OS, it's a driver issue with the OS. Use a standard generic USB keyboard. And.. WHY ON EARTH are you putting Vista on it? |
Does it beep? If so, look up the beep codes in the motherboard's manual or motherboard's manufacturer's website. Do you get power to the devices? Check by trying to open/close the DVD drive. What type of hardware do you have installed? For example, this will happen on very old AT power supplies when you reverse the P8 and P9 power connectors. Check for shorts (metal touching metal where it shouldn't) and ensure everything is connected securely. |

Some motherboards won't recognize USB keyboards. Try using a USB-PS2 adapter to plug it into the round purple PS2 port. Personally I use two keyboards: The one I like, and a second (PS2) keyboard in the back of the desk area, out of view. This way I can use the USB hub built into the good one but still have access to the BIOS, aborting disk checks, boot loaders, etc. |
If it is a USB keyboard, just give it a few minutes to load the drivers. |
Try disconnecting the VGA cable. It may not be all the way in or a faulty cable. |
