Hi, I live in the UK and I am now eleven and I am going to move into secondary school. At the moment I have a really rubbish phone and a iPod touch 2g. I also have a really old slow computer with rubbish wireless. I am looking to get a MacBook pro laptop 15inch 500g. 4g of ram and lots more however I want a new phone and an upgrade from my iPod touch2g. Which should I get. |

I wouldn't reccomend either product My advice get a PC with awesome specs cause the bad hardware lies are only true if you cheap out on hardware or screw something up then wait for either the next gen iPhone or iPod Touch |

a mac just because an iphone 4 is limited to app developers and it's small screen size. a laptop has more apps and a bigger screen. plus a mac can do video editing, program ipghone apps, and other stuff if you know how to. i also the iphone 4 is a new device and has connection issues unless you get a case. i would choose mac over iphone any day |

MacBook Pro would be your best choice. Has the most power...and would be the most help. |

Your 11? Old enough to build your own pc, there are enough guides on the internet, even if you screw something up you will end up cheaper, this plus a one year old galaxy S android phone. (should get them around 200, phone is on par with Iphone4) I build my computer for around 1200 (including upgrades) and its a gaming monster;) Everything depends on your budget, but both my suggestions are very budget friendly and still powerful. |

You're jumping from "I'm moving into a different school" to "I need a new computer." The reality of the situation is that you don't need a high-powered, expensive computer (running ANY OS) for anything until college, and that's only if you're doing something with film or computer science. All you need to do is write papers. It's not like you NEED a MacBook. If you are going to get something, I'd recommend a Linux-based computer, because I belong to the Order of the Mighty Penguin, but anything will do. But you don't need something powerful and very pricey for high school. |

In my opinion you don't need a new computer or phone just because you are moving to secondary school; neither me or any of my friends got a computer for the move to secondary school. The school will surely haven enough computers and equipment for you to use there. An old computer with Miscrosoft Office will do for homework and you don't need a new flashy phone just something to phone up your family if any problems occur. |

Get the iPhone 4, now you have updated your phone and iPod, rather than getting a Mac, new phone, and new iPod, you can just get a Mac and an iPhone. iPhone = Phone+iPod+Internet Communications Device+More.
Get a PC and with the money you save you can get a good phone. That's my suggestion.
