I haven't owned a "best" computer. It will always be changing because of upgrades and new technology and standards. Even if you have the fastest computer in the world today, it might be obsolete tomorrow. Although I consider a "best" computer not to be better by specs (because those can be outdated so easily) but by build quality and reliability. Under these criteria, I would consider my 11 year old Compaq Presario desktop to be my best computer, simply because it has held up over the years while newer computers have died on me. In fact, since I bought the Compaq in late 1999, I've gone through 3 other computers: a 2001 Dell Inspiron that died after about 6 years, a 2006 Dell Inspiron that died after 2 years from a bad graphics card, a 2007 Dell Inspiron that died after 2 years from a hard drive failure. I am currently in my 4th Inspiron, and yet the Compaq still works fine. It may not be a performance beast, but it is a living testament to the term "they don't make them like they used to".

You mean to tell me that you're best computer so far is powered by a Celeron processor?
Furthermore: My best computer so far is my (previous generation) iMac 20" with 300 GB hard drive, 2 GB DDR3 RAM, 2.66 GHz Core 2 Duo.

Macbook Pro 2.6 GHZ Intel Core 2 Duo, 4 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM, 186GB hard drive.
I had been a PC user between 2002 to 2005 when I made the switch to Mac. I hope I never have to go back.
When my Macbook dies I will probably switch to a Mac Mini or an i Mac.

When i switched from pc to Mac the Mac quickly took that spot. :-) The only problem i have with apple is they Change their line to often. i invest lots of money in a great system and before i can get My full use out of it a new one comes out and makes me Feel left behind. :-( but i still like My Mac the best. i THink apple should make an economy line for people that are broke and can only afford a 500 dollar computer. for example the plastic Macbook. yes its nice but it it really worth 1,000 bucks? i don't think so. the rest of the Mac line seems reasonable but they need to drop the price on the Macbook. i think they will once they update it. its due for an update. either that or maybe they will phase it out with the 13 inch MacBook Pro. Who knows.
