I'm looking at trading my base model laptop for an Apple PowerBook G4. It's got 512mb of ram and it's the 15 inch model. Would you recommend this laptop? Is it worth trading my iPad for? Btw, the laptop is in perfect condition and has imoviehd and photoshop on it, which are both programs I'll use often.

No, I would recommend just spending the extra cash and getting the latest MacBook.

It would not be worth trading your iPad for (in my mind), because I think that the iPad is better. If you really want a Macbook, than you should get a Macbook either refurbished from Apple, or you should buy one from somewhere like Craigslist or eBay. You can occasionally find good deals on them.

If you are going to trade an iPad, NO not at all. The Powerbook G4 is old technology. Doesn't support a lot of the modern software out there. Don't make this mistake.

I would go with IPad. I am a fan of the PowerPC Sieres but it is almost dead! So i would go with IPad at least you will be able to watch Youtube videos in HD on that. Trust me IPad is the way to go!
