Give your final answer on which is better: Mac or Windows? No squabbling or waffling, just do it! Consider value for money, programs, etc. |

I would go with Windows, only because Mac is horribly overpriced, but based on something free. Also Apple tries controlling what you bought worse than Microsoft does. That being said, Linux is better than either one. |
Mac, i have full compatibility with other systems, it doesn't crash nearly as much as Windows. I also have a lot better control over the system. It is a lot faster for me to be productive. |

I'm going to say that it's your personal preference. Personally, I prefer a Mac, be use the software works well with the hardware. I also like all of the freeware that you can get on a Mac. If you are a gamer, I think that you should get a PC, because, currently, Windows dominates the gaming industry currently. Macs are more reliable, PCs are more customizeable, whatever you think is the best for you is what you should get...I did all of this on my iPad. |
i like PC's (meaning Windows) better, because i like to be able to customize my computer. And price to performance Windows based computers are cheaper. Linux is even cheaper, if you go with a free distro. |
None... with linux on a pc u can do whatever u can do with osx or windows, and u have more freedoom choosing any pc manufacturer... and u aint pain nothing for a OS... |
I can't speak for desktop use but mac notebooks are way better than windows notebooks because of the build quality and because windows for the most part was made for desktop use (Ex: It's a battery hog). But they're both good operating systems and I like and still use both of them. |

Mac. Sorry but thats what i am! Look at it this way: You buy a PC for £400. You buy a Anti Virus £50 1 Year on your PC gets a Motherboard problem £105 1 Year on again Antivirus £50 1 Year on you buy more ram and get some one to fit it £40 1 Year on you buy another Antivirus £50 You Get up to date Operating system £120 Your PC's Cover in 4 years costs at least £220 over a PC's Life time. Maybe you also buy a family suite (Like Ilife) £30 WHOA! Pricey! £1,065 (You would save money if you knew more of what you where doing with your PC) And think about it you buy a Mac Pro for that much and you don't really need anything else after that. You would not need cover either (As the chances of a mac breaking down are about 3-10) Having a PC is like having a Loan. Thats my view on it! |

Quite simply, It boils down to PERSONAL preference, your needs & your level of computer expertise. I don’t mind paying for products & services that are reasonably priced because I’ll get professional tech support. |
it depends on the person really, this will b a endless debate but if you could affored a mac or a windows i would sagest a mac because it is more user friendly and people make virus scripts mainly for windows so there for macs would b more safe and also you run both mac and windows on a mac so all you would have to do is bye a mac then by and version of windows (except vista) then u would have a great computer. |
