How would I go about creating my own email address with a domain that I want. (For example, not it being "example@aol.com, gmail.com, etc.") An email address where I control the user, "chris" for example, and the domain, "@pirillo.com". If anyone could explain the steps on how to do this, that would be great, thanks. |

You will need to first get a open domain (like getting a website), then you could set up email services on that domain with a host. http://OwnEmailDomain.net explains how you can get free basic domain email service when you purchase a domain at http://InternetDirectSolutions.com. OwnEmailDomain.net has step-by-step instructions. |

Kevin explained it well. For example, if you go to Go Daddy, and purchase the domain " example.com " You can set up email addresses for that domain, such as "example@example.com" You usually get a bunch free with the purchase of a domain, I think Go Daddy is 100 or somthing. But I already have the website, and I don't think it was through GoDaddy. Is there a way I can do it after I already have the website? |

You could open a hosting plan with a small webhost like Dreamhost who offer email services. They also offer Google Apps for free so thats a +. and it's only 10/m |

i have my own e-mail domain, all i did was purchase a domain, setup a server domain server in my home office, like you would typically have set-up in a business and installed exchange 2010 on it. obviously there maybe more to it than this, but this is how i did it. so that now my email address is firstname@mydomainname.co.uk |

All you need to do is buy the relevant domain like example.com and then purchase service with that, so you need to buy a email service. most hosts sell these really cheaply, or if your a do it yourselfer there are actually a few distributions of linux so you can built your own. |
