Why doesn't Apple just issue all iPhone 4 buyers a $29.99 credit? Rather than send "free" Bumpers for some, a selection of pre-approved cases for others, and a refund for those who paid for their Bumpers, etc. Wouldn't it be more democratic and straight forward to just refund everyone? That way, each user can decide if they want to order a Bumper, another case, or risk using an unprotected phone.

because the bumpers cost pennys to make... its cheaper for them to give u a bumper than to give you a credit.

Apple is trying to find the cheapest way to NOT loose money and this is the best option for them. It may be confusing but that is how they are doing it. |

If you look at the so called "problem" technically there is nothing wrong with the phone it self. There something wrong with cellular technology. Compared to my 3GS I've got much better signal with the new design on the outside of the phone without using my left hand. Since they wanted to make users happy which they didnt have to they said we'll give you free bumpers which isnt going to hurt them. Now if this problem didn't happen on every phone even though the iPhone is worse they would have gave us credit.

No, it costs Apple $.5 to manufacture a bumper, and if they gave $29 refunds, they would loose a lot more money. |

Just give the money back for those who bought it and give free bumpers for buyers…
