When I dispense ice cubes from ice cube trays, sometimes I get a nice, clean break. That of course is what we all strive for in our ice cube dispensing endeavors; but sometimes they don't. On some occasions, the ice cubes shatter into many tiny peices. How can I prevent this phenomenon?

Use distilled water to make your ice cubes.
Rinse the bottom of the ice cube tray with water before turning it over and twisting the ice cube tray to release the ice cubes.
