I have my iTunes library with home sharing enabled and was wondering if I would be able to access it out side my network. (While on trips, at friends, etc...)

it's called HOME sharing for a reason

and if you mean with "at friends" , giving them your music. You should put it on some USB drives, you little pirate xD

You can copy the songs between 5 computers on a home sharing network... If you authorise a laptop as one as your 5 computers, you can then take that with you... :o)
