Is society in danger of becoming insanely insular due to the lure of the internet?

I already almost stay home all the time on the internet, I wouldn't be surprised at all if this happens in even less then 10 years. (by the way your questions have actually been thought provoking :) )

It will be a sad day if this happens. FAT, Out of shape, people that don't know how to interact in the real world with real people.
