For all those who have macs....why did you get one and why do you like it. I kinda think that they are a bit overhyped...but thats just me and my opinion.

Macs have far less problems over all: less crashes, errors, viruses, etc. They can run both Windows & Mac (although Apple won't let you run mac on a PC so thats sort of their fault) In my opinion they look nicer, but thats no reason to get a computer, its just an added bonus. The customer service of Apple is much better then any other computer company in my opinion. The one thing Macs lack is hardware customization like you can with a windows machine. This is a nice article to read: http://apcmag.com/15_reasons_macs_are_still_better_than_windows.htm. I will admit some of those points are stupid, like the flashing lights one. And they come with free apple stickers!

I got a Mac because it is well designed hardware that works easily with all my other Apple devices. I also like the way it looks. Have you ever noticed how many movies and TV shows and advertisements show thinly disguised Macs? Often they just proudly display the Apple logo.

Mac OSX is natively faster than Windows. That, combined with Xcode and the fact that many of my games and all of my graphics softwares run on it was all I needed to get a MacBook Pro. And I never looked back. Except occasionally, for apps I left behind. Which is why I built a PC.

Well because the Apple II line of computers were EOL (End of life) and my family was looking for a new one. My dad originally choose Apple in the 1980s as home computing become popular. He didn't exactly choose Apple over Commodore, IBM, or others for any particular reason, it was just what his friends had.

Since Apple's products had been pretty good so far, when looking for a new computer, he went to an Apple reseller. There we got a Mac Classic II. Since then, I've been on Macs and I have no plans of changing this. I've always viewed them as normal computers, and others like Windows PCs as kind of different and unusual. Not that I dislike others, I just was never really use to them, even in school I used Macs... Didn't even see or know much about Windows until Junior High.
