It's really hard to recommend one specific wireless mouse. The best thing to do is to go to the store and try them out. Figure out how many buttons you want to use and which one fits your hand the best. I do like the brand Logitech though. Everything I buy from Logitech seems to work well and last long. Also great customer support. Keep in mind that you get what you pay for. A cheap mouse will feel cheap.

Apple Magic Mouse. Its the best. Also it's bluetooth so you don't have to plug in a USB wireless receiver to your computer. unless your computer doesn't have bluetooth.

I don't think it is compatible with a Windows computer. I have it and love it with my iMac computer.

The best mouse I've used is the Razer Mamba. I haven't found another mouse either wired or wireless that satisfies me as much as this one does or that can even compare.

It isn't perfect though. The battery isn't the best; you have to charge it for 5-6 hours (or more) to get a full charge and it's also pricey at around $100-150. As far as performance though, I haven't had a problem with this thing and it's great for gaming. Response times are perfect and there is no lag whatsoever.

Like others have suggested, shop around, read reviews, and if you can, visit a store where you can try them out yourself.
