I am going to be getting a Droid in August. The Droid X to be specific. I really like this Android theme!: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=662611 <--cuz I use Ubuntu and that's the Ubuntu look :) But apparently it won't work on Droids because they are hdpi devices and the theme is for mdpi. The creator doesn't have time to make it for Droids.
My question is, are there companies you can hire to create android themes for you? Maybe I can get one to recreate this theme with a few minor tweaks I want.

As far as I know, there are no companies created for the purpose of creating themes for Android. Your best bet is to keep looking around on XDA and other Android mod sites until you find one you like that is also hdpi (trust me, there are tons of themes nicer than that one).
Of course, I'm not sure you will even know how to go about installing the theme onto your phone once you get it. First of all, the Droid X will need to be rootable (if it isn't, you will have a very hard time theming it). Second, you will need to hope that one of the big ROM developers support the device (I know that there is a Droid fork of CyanogenMod, so perhaps Koush (the developer of the fork) will support the Droid X). Third, you need to make sure the theme that you want will work correctly on that ROM.
I have no experience applying a theme to a Motorola device. And since XDA is focused on HTC devices, you probably won't find specific help there. If CyanogenMod turns out to support the Droid X, you will probably see a Droid X forum pop up on the CyanogenMod Forums.
