I Really Need Some Help With My iPod :S :S

Hey Guys

Today, my brother asked me to restore his iPod Touch and put on the new iOS 4 on it. Its a 8gb MC Model. Its classed as a 2nd Gen iPod by Apple.

Anyways, I was restoring it and the last section on the Progress bar (both on iTunes and the iPod) cant get past the last section,

Its hard to explain, but the iPod has been like this for 20 mins. alt text

I really need your guys help. The progress bar in iTunes is still moving, as in the little lines in the bar. Plus I have tried unplugging it and restoring it again. But it ended with the same result.

HELP!

iTouches and iPhones need to be most recent-gen (3) to get iOS 4. I have a 3G iTouch, and I got the update. Unfortunately, iOS4 is incompatible with the iPhone and the iPhone 3G, and 1st-and-2nd-gen- iTouches.

but I have the same iPod with iOS 4 on. No Multitasking etc, but still iOS4!

Put the device in DFU mode (Device Firmware Update), then restore the device as you would normally.
