which backup software supports a grandfather-father-son scheme?

which backup software supports a g.f.s. (grandfather-father-son) scheme? a t.o.h. (tower-of-hanoi) would be fine too.

btw: i've already tried "acronis backup & recovery workstation 10" which supports g.f.s. and t.o.h., but it is extremely slow in starting to back up to my lan ftp (on my quad-core machine) and it is buggy.

i will look into any suggestion.

for those that don't know, g.f.s. is typically where you keep daily backups of the past week (son). weekly backups of the past month (father) and monthly backups of the past (grandfather). t.o.h. is very similar to g.f.s..

I've been using Retrospect for many years, and I've never seen a reason to try anything else. At other places of employment, most used a version Retrospect as well.

thanks. i'm currently also using retrospect ( 7.5 ). it works very well. it looks like i made an oversight. retrospect seems to support exactly what i want. with the "Groom to Retrospect denfined policy" option in my "backup set" "properties". i guess i should have read this dialog better :D (problem solved!)
