I've been using Retrospect for many years, and I've never seen a reason to try anything else. At other places of employment, most used a version Retrospect as well.

for those that don't know, g.f.s. is typically where you keep daily backups of the past week (son). weekly backups of the past month (father) and monthly backups of the past (grandfather). t.o.h. is very similar to g.f.s..
