If you want the absolute best gaming experience, then that's only available on the PC.
Consoles have a few things going for them, mostly the initial price-point. The hardware is old, slow, and cheap, so you can get your hands on the actual game system relatively easily. The problem is, most console games stay at $60 for quite a long time (where as PC games launch at $50), so you lose the money you saved on the console when buying the games. There's a slightly higher initial investment when getting into PC gaming, but after you have a base system, keeping it up to date isn't much more expensive than a console. Pop in a new processor or graphics card every once in a while for $200 (roughly the price of a cheap console) and you're up to date again (and you can sell the old hardware to recoup some the costs). |

Can't you agree to disagree? It depends on what you want to do! If you want to play a game that runs only on the console (or is optimized for the console), then the console will be your best option. If you want to do word processing, or visit lockergnome.net, a typical PC is better. See What is "the best"? Also, a console is technically a PC. |
