yea, its gone... very few laptop thefts are ever recovered, even the ones with tracking software, your odds are better, but not great. |

If the laptop was just sitting there unattended, then it was basically screaming "Steal ME?!?!?"... I suggest keeping an eye on your electronics :P |

Unless we live in Seattle we really are not much help. Does suck though that people have to watch their items because people do not have the curtiousy to not steal. I had an iPod stolen once haveing expensive items stolen is rather aggravating. |

Its to late, in my view, if hes not been able to get access to the system itself, i would but money on it that he as sold it. In which case i don't think your being seeing it again. Sorry :( when it comes to the documents, do they have password encryption? and 2nd to that are they backed up? from your question i would say no. You could possibly tell the local news they love having stories to report and it would notify the community to look out for him and you might possibly get it back. Long shot though.
