So i have this old mac mini from mid-2007 and I've found out the maxium amount of RAM i can put in it is 2GB but what would happen if i ignored this and put in 4GB?

Either of the following can happen: 1. No POST, which means the computer won't boot unless you replace the 2GB RAM module with a lower capacity RAM module. 2. The BIOS (therefore, the OS as well) would recognize the 2GB RAM module as 1GB RAM module.
